I got GW:EN because I wanted it so BMP was full bonus to me. I feel bad for everyone who could not get it, the skins ARE pretty badass, and are making me poor paying for mods

I got it the BMP. I like it. I believe Anet should offer it for sale in the online store as a separate addon for those who missed it the first time around. There are far too many elitist jackasses and pricks in GW with the mentality that since they have something, no one else can.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to get a hardcopy release from a brick and mortar store.

lol, i'm not bent out of shape actually, i was enjoying the debate cause i had inferred that you were getting bent up about it. but point taken. i still maintain that it's not very nice to rub it in others faces though, that's like eating a big mac in front of an etheopian.

The thing is that ANet has to make enough money to keep the freaking servers running.

If they sell hardcopy and offer a free bonus pack they will lose money for the cost of making the hardcopy and making the bonus pack.

However if they sell through the freaking ingame store they can afford to offer the free bonus mission pack along with it.

It is a bonus for those who cooperated with them and are supporting their effort to keep the servers running. People are so blind as to how much it is costing them.

I got the BMP, and I dont have to much problem if they sell it in the online store for $30-$40,

BUT

if they do this, they must also offer CE upgrades

I would have got it if i could, i had enough money but my parents would not allow me to use their credit card...they didn't want to give their credit card info out onto the internet...

I don't know anywhere where i can get a pre-paid credit card or w/e. All those people saying i could have got it if i wanted to, how? i saved up- i had enough money but my parents said no. Unless i take my parents credit card and use it without their permission i couldn't get the BMP. Of course i could ask a friend's parents yea, that would sound real great "Excuse me, could i please borrow you're credit card to buy something online?"

You don't have a Walgreens? I know they have them right there in front of the register around here. anyway it's a closed debate man. I won't go into the reasons why. I'm sorry you missed out.

Indeed. Which is why I said offer it as a separate addon. In other words, sell it to people who missed out on getting it for free. Sorry if I didn't make that clearer before.

If it was free why is my wallet 30 bucks light and I'm staring at 3 unneeded empty character slots? If it was freakin free everyone would have it and we wouldn't be having this discussion. I'm no elitist , but I spent 30 bucks I wouldn't have just to get the BMP. and so did many others. We don't need to have that investment belittled like we got some kind of handout because thats not what happened. The promotion was out for 5 months and well advertised, people who didn't get the BMP made a decission not to get it and it wasn't because they are broke.. People who brought it did so on blind faith as fans of the game, willing to take the bitter with the sweet just to have a new mission or quest to enjoy and were rewarded for it. Now many materialistic people who could care less about enjoying a mission or quest and don't even know what the lore is, want the BMP because they see the rewards. First question is what are they being rewarded for, their lack of support? The biggest argument is no CC, which means even if it was in the online store they still couldn't get it, its never going to the retail store, it would lose money now to manufacture packaging and distribution for a few people. It seems to me they have a sense of entitlement and want it for free.

Jeezz People READ not skim my posts pls. Here I'z go again quoting me self:

@OP to question: Now that BMP is out, why are so many people regretting not getting it?
Quote:
A: Not every country it's needed to have a credit card. ( we for instance use the pin system in the Netherlands).
B: They had a paypal pol or to pay by sms. Where's that now? (No you don't need a credit card to use paypal, you can make a bankdeposit to it!!!!)
C: People like me expected perhaps some green items from the missions, Not 4 collections of Great Skins for every character class to attain :X
Nobody expected Anet to make 4 kits of weapons for every charachter. They expected a handfull of greenies. Thus regretting to get the BMP. People aren't pissed because they suck, or aren't tradeable.

I'll have to look for my euro junk box. anyway without a pin, in pin based systems you have to have a debit card unless you want to carry cash around and get robbed, thus rendering you penniless. I always travel with pre paid debit cards whereever I go.
You are really full of yourself huh. If your so on the money (I like that phrase in this context ) Pls send me a link where I can get a Pre-Paid CREDITCARD that I can use on the INTERNETZ. I still want to buy 2 char slots, so yeah big help if you could......

Just to make it clear to everybody, To awnser the ops question. People would regret not get bmp because a, b, c I stated above. Do I personally regret getting it. Meh just a bit, it's not that I'm ticked off beyond comprehension.

Do I regret from getting a cc account for 50 Euro's or so, and using it only once for getting the 2 charslots + gwen ? Hell no. Wised non purchase I made all year. Maybe I don't have/ want to throw away 50 euro's just to get some virtual extra goodies.

For the record I have the pre-orders on Factions, Nightfall & Gwen. And the collectors Edition of Nightfall. (Couldn't get CE of Factions, because they ran out of stock and had 2 wait otherwise for 2 weeks). So don't call me not dedicated enough.

I still wonder why Visa Electron is accepted pretty much nowhere. Is it really that hard to qualify as certified by Visa or what?

I'd really like to see it happen ^_^ It would be so awesome =)

Am I the only one that hasn't got the BMP and thinks it is not worth even a couple of bucks?
Yes, they are some fun missions, Anet did a really good job as usual (I love this game and appreciate the effort they put into their work, other companies should learn from them) but... but I can't see myself paying for it as a standalone product.
I've seen a friend complete it in 6/7 minutes each mission at his house, well... I saw it wasn't that much.

I think all the whining and regretting for not having it is due to the weapons
OMG CANT HAVE TEH SHINING WEAPONZORZS!!!! WTF ANET SUCKS!!! I WNAT ALLL TEH BOXZORS ADN TEH MISSIONZORS GIMME GIMME GIMME!!!

I consider myself lucky for not being into the videogame business.
I can't deal with immature customers.

The title for this thread is completely bogus - it's not regret and the complaints are not new. They started the moment the BMP was announced, and have been repeated each time the subject has been raised. Some of you seem to like re-writing history to support your arguments.

This method of selling is in no ones interest, except ANet's. How the hell does it get such vociferous support?

I am pretty sure they will do just that but probably not until sometime early next year.
